| Required characteristics (/skills and abilities etc) | A Bachelor's degree in a field of study focusing on the design process preferred; 3-5 years of professional experience working as a 3D modeler in computer gaming or a related field. A portfolio or reel demonstrating outstanding artistic abilities in the following areas: traditional art, 3D modeling, texturing and lighting abilities. Fine arts skills that demonstrate a command proportion and color theory preferred. Traditional sculpting experience a plus. Lighting and architecture a plus. Strong technical aptitude related to 3D modeling tools and game engine technologies. Solid command of Max's modeling and texturing tools. Expertise working in Photoshop. Demonstrated ability to work with a high degree of self-direction. Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills. Must be receptive to art direction and perform well within a collaborative team environment. Must be responsive to deadlines and work well under pressure. |
